MEET OUR FOUNDER
Kemal is the founder and owner of Aydın Law, specializing in commercial litigation, especially in complex disputes. For over 17 years, he has developed a busy practice mainly in international commercial law, maritime transportation, technology and energy, real estate, construction and distributorship disputes, as well as debt recovery and bankruptcy.
Clients turn to Kemal whether they are a Korean technology company enforcing IP rights in Turkey, a US medical equipment manufacturer collecting receivables from a regional distributor, a Chinese shipping giant entrusting him with full power to manage legal affairs, or a Japanese bank filing for the bankruptcy of a publicly-traded jewelry company.
Kemal has also built up significant experience in labor litigation having acted in dozens of labor disputes. In addition to litigation, he routinely provides tailor-made solutions at every juncture of employer-employee relations. He mainly advises corporations on risk mitigation in just termination and redundancy, as well as collective bargaining agreements in unionized sectors. His labor practice expands to the enforcement of confidentiality and non-compete obligations, post-termination claims, employee-related IP rights such as employee inventions, liability for workplace accidents and corporate immigration. He also advises HR departments in the management, structuring and organization of labor relations.
Kemal has lectured several times in law schools on various topics. He recently gave lectures on contemporary labor law matters at Istanbul Bilgi University. He has also received several awards from various institutions including not only law schools but also the Supreme Board of Judges and Prosecutors. He received his L.L.M degree from the University of Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
Kemal is recently recognized among one of the nine leading dispute resolution specialists in Turkey by the Legal 500 (2020-2021).
